TOWARF Was founded in 1954 by then Chief Constable Fred Oliver after 2 Sea Scouts and their leader were drowned in Lake Ontario.The unit is funded by the Town of Oakville and has been a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary since 1979.

STAFFING & TRAINING

The unit consist of 100 volunteers including 11 crews of seven members each. All personnel receiving training in Search & Rescue,Seamanship,Marine Radio operations, First Aid and CPR
